What is your vision of a future internet?
A monster will evolve from the primordial swamp of useless information that's floating around in the Internet. Just look at all that JUNK!!! Porn, corny jokes, nonsensical diatribes and 'odes to my toilet'...sure, we have enough server space NOW, but honestly, where does all that information (or data, depending on how you wanna look at it) GO???
My vision of a future Internet? It will rule the world, and cause great econo-socio-political divides between the information 'have' and 'have-nots'. Then, (or now, depending on how you wanna look at it), we'll have this ever-widening dearth between the connected, and the not connected. Thumbing down of noses in political circles will occur and trouble will evolve. There will be a great Information and Connectivity Revolution throughout the world, all of a sudden (maybe within 5 years), and then the trouble will start, and somewhere on a small atoll in the Pacific called Bikini, Private John Smith will take an inopportune nap on the hot button and send us up in a puff of mushroom.
Chance and coincidence - who knows what will happen to the Internet? Me? I just gave you my view above...
please take this with a pinch of salt and butter...
