King Arthurzzzzzzzz
I wasted 2.5 hours of my life watching this terribly boring film, which didn't even have the decency to attempt being somewhat historically accurate. Excalibur's history might be sketchy (there are two stories behind it, one being that it was given to Arthur by the Lady of the Lake, and the other of it being the sword in the stone, which has a whole BOOK by T.H. White detailing how it was drawn from the stone by Arthur and how he became King etc), but who said anything about a sword stuck in the burial mound of his father?
For that matter, wasn't Arthur some orphan? And Guinevere being part of Merlin's Lord of the Flies ragamuffin gang? Ridiculous as a hinkypuff.
Thank goodness the evening was saved with a surprise birthday party for moi, organised by dearest Zibing... thank you again, I was incredibly surprised!
