Christmas: 2 days before the day
I think I need to go for a refresher in human resource management - only by the grace of God has this Christmas play gone so far, and only the grace of God has covered all the crappy mistakes I've made (and will continue to make) over this Christmas skit.
The thing about most christians active in church or para-church organisations is that they tend to revolve around the same bunch of very obliging persons. A good idea is always backed up by everyone, but when it comes down to the crunch, only a few people are there to actually do the work. When it's always the same few obliging people, brown-out or burn-out tends to occur. I think I've stressed Ben and Yimei out with the acting and the props, and poor Kenneth is busy juggling SGX and painting signboards, Pu Chuan is tying his hands up in knots tackling P.A. and lights at the same time (he needs to be an octopus to press and flick everything that I require of him), Claire Kevin and Ambrose are coming down for rehearsals which require a lot out of them (learning two new songs , and one with actions etc), and Marcus is nursing a cold while being stressed out by memorising his lines.
There has to be a better way to do all this.
