Pencils and you
The pencil maker told his pencils five important lessons.
1st, everything you do will always leave a mark. 2nd, you can always correct your mistakes. 3rd, what is important is what is inside you. 4th, in life you will undergo painful sharpenings which will make you a better pencil. 5th, to be the best pencil you can you must allow yourself to be guided by the hand that holds you.
----- postcards and packages from down under ---
Today, I got a package from OZZIELAND! And a postcard! Two mail-items from two persons wholly unconnected sent me lurrrve!
E sent me a large, bulky envelope, which had a huge orange "ID RECORDED" on it.
I opened it, and it was a CAN.
Canned PLATYPUS.
I'll pause here to admit that yes, I really did think that the mad girl had sent me contraband items all the way from Oz... until I realised that it was very light, and Australia doesn't DO that, and oh, SHE'S A MADZ VEGETARIAN SO NO WAY IN NINE HELLS WOULD SHE SEND ME MEAT.
So I open it with a can opener, and ... awwwwwwwwww. Isn't that just pretty?
I think it needs a name. Suggestions?
The other thing from Australia was a postcard from the fifth Adrian in my phonebook, whom I met when I was in Europe. I sent him one of those VisitSingapore! postcards a while back (postage free mah, plus got lucky draw!), and he kindly returned the favour by complaining that I didn't send him my email.
Hey, if it gets me snail mail, I'm happy. :)
THANKS, YOU GUYS! OZLAND ROCKS ROCKS ROCKS! (Or reefs reefs reefs, depending on your sport of choice.)
