jeudi, novembre 26, 2009 Engravings and their Significance... or not.  I've always thought that engravings in the inner part of rings were hopelessly swoonworthy romantic gestures. Because they're on the insides of the rings, nobody can see the engraving, and only the owner has the power to read the message (and maybe show it to a select few.)One of my closest friends had an (ex)bf engrave "X, will you be mine?" inside a ring as he asked her to be his girlfriend. Ben and Yimei also have a lovely hand-crafted pair of wedding bands, and from the photo they posted, it looks like they engraved the insides too - I have no idea what it says though. It got me asking myself: what would I like to see engraved on the inside of my ring? I think it's a sign of something that I immediately thought: "Wah seh, better engrave my name and handphone and email in case I lose it."
