A Little Walkabout: The Singapore Night Festival 2011 (mostly)
After a Walkabout
returning home is like
stepping back into familiar shoes
only to realise
that the shoes are a little stiffer from disuse
and new calluses
are in rather unexpected places...
A surprisingly good view of the Arab Street rooftops from - of all places - a toilet.
I happened to be there to pick up instructions for a paper I am writing.
Zsofi Tapas Bar (68 Dunlop Street) is a lovely place
(mid-range price) for a good chat with a friend over tapas.
Drinks at $12-20 - beer drinkers could share
a jug for three free tapas (see diagram on menu)
Happy balloons in the rotunda of the
National Museum of Singapore
[A Dozen of Those by Tay Swee Lin]
Font Fun: Aerial Arial
(this after having a good time walking through Abbas, 45 Years in Photography)
Volvos blinking in the moonlight
(everybody's feeling warm and bright
it's such a fine and natural delight)
[Parking Mad (Le Parking en folie) by Bernedetto Buffalino]
Nobody's studying too hard on the walkways of SMU
[Lampounettes by Tilt]
(the last photo was taken after two failed attempts by
TMH to take a picture using a regular P&S camera. tsk.)
Visualised audio distortions on the facade of the SAM
[Lyrical Perspective (Perspective Lyrique) by 2014 architecture]
Jellyfish floating in the SAM's courtyard - to the
beat of a disco ball Art Party at the Glass Auditorium
In all honesty, I commented to YM, if I were diving and
that close to so many jellyfish, I'd swim for my life.
[Curiositiés by Alain Benini]
Left: Nodding rabbits (do you see one?) | Right: Very creepy talking head
I love the lighting.
[Liu Kang: A Centennial Celebration]
Libellés : art
